    One component of petrol is octane (C8H18). If the heat of combustion of Octane is -5464 kJ/mol then the heat that would be released by 1g of octane is: a) 33.67 kJ b)33670 kJ c)42.03 kJ d)162.26 kJ Through unit analysis I get 47.83 kJ (2d.p) but the answer is 33.67 kJ. Anybody willing...

    the original question is to find the first 10 terms of this series [(2^n)+(2n-1)] but I am having trouble finding the common ratio as the first 3 numbers are 3,7,13.. Don't judge me, I only slept for 2 hours

    It has been 1 and a half weeks since school ended for public high school students. So I'm curious have you all relaxed for 1 and a half weeks or are you doing some little work like I have? Or are you guys planning to study hard after new years? And if any past HSC students viewing this...

    So I got my HSC assessment booklet today, and it turned out that the MX1 yearlies counted towards 10% of my atar. o.o I haven't asked my teacher about this yet, but I am wondering if anybody else have faced this situation before

    If points (-3k,1), (k - 1, k - 3) and (k - 4, k - 5) are collinear, find the value of k . Btw the answer is -2 x_x any answer on why?
