I thought every question so far has been fairly generic, over Paper 1 and Paper 2.
One of my good friends who does DT said they were also fairly generic.
Can I just remind everyone that we should avoid mentioning specific texts/questions as contained in the papers and keep the discussion general as people can still resit the exams if they were away!
Sorry to hear that!
Your school should warn you when you're getting lose to the limit. The limit is where your teachers cannot tick off saying you've satisfactorily completed the course requirements, however consideration can be given based on individual circumstances, so make sure your school...
Wow, that's gonna be hard doing 13 units with MX1! I had a hard enough time getting all the work done when I did 12 units with MX1 in Yr11.
My school allows people taking an extension unit to do 12 units in Yr11 & it's Catholic.
At my school, people have clashes, so they get to sit the exam AFTER everyone else. Kind of stupid because they're at an advantage, and they get to sit the same paper(CSSA)
What texts do you do?
But trials are internal assessment! It doesn't affect the people on this board who aren't from...
A pendulum would work, if you take Physics you have a good look at pendulum motion. I suggest you take a look at this here:

What you'd be looking at is the influences on the period(time for one motion) or the speed of the motion etc...
Re: What absurd things have people done in your school due to competition and rivalry
^ this is why my school has no hand in assignments for HSC.
Except for Chemistry because it's a gay subject.
I think the simplest way to choose is to decide how much you really enjoy English. If you enjoy reading and deciphering texts, especially Shakespeare texts, then definitely do Advanced. It has far greater potential to boost your ATAR, however don't choose it just because you think it scales...
I'm struggling to prepare for CSSA papers which my school is using :S
I'm just doing the past HSC exams, hoping the CSSA papers won't be too hard!
I'm just focusing on English, Chem and Math at the moment, the others are the next week and can wait.
As stated, there's a large difference between 2U(my name for Mathematics) and general. If you're choosing between the two as a subject choice, if you enjoy maths and/or are good at it, pick 2U. Otherwise choose general. Don't make the same mistake I did and choose subjects for the scaling.
I think the problem more or less lies in the fact people have misunderstood the information.
