Only PHYS1231 Higher Physics 1B is on the first year electives list. Is it okay if I do PHYS1221 instead?

Does anyone know when you should apply for a university in England? Or more importantly if it's worth it, the time and money, to study there? I just think it would be an exciting experience. Or is it better to try for an American institution? I'm thinking of studying engineering btw.

Prelim Topics in HSC? This might sound like a very noob question but are the prelim topics examined in the hsc paper at all? or is it just the hsc topics and nothing more? I know the marks you get in year 11 mean squat in year 12.
