to find exemplar essays either on the resources tab on BOS or acehsc. Just search up on google and a bunch of resources should pop up. Jstor usually doesnt have any comparative essays but I find it as a good resource to get good bits of analysis that is usually not covered in class.

To get university-level analysis on english, you don't necessarily have to contact uni academics. Just read up some academic articles and journals, it basically contains the same content.

Perfectly reasonable, you should always prioritize your health! I just hope you understand that going the post grad route is not a guarantee way to getting into med as you will not only just be competing against people in your own cohort but other cohorts as well. Anyways, good luck!

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why you don't want to do the UCAT? i understand that it is another academic commitment to juggle alongside your hsc subjects but wouldn't it be easier to aim for undergrad UNSW/WSU then it is to aim for USYD or postgrad Med?
