I did it - it was OK - was probably the most interesting MATH subject i've done so far, doing a computing degree. Yes, you should go to lectures for it - makes it easier to understand.

Yep, it's come down to it. Maths or delay. It turns out i had read the timetable wrong (two classes in the same place at the same time alternate) - so I was going to be OK, when that was figured out. Then they cancelled two of the wrong labs. grr. At the moment i'm sitting on the fence.

Argh! The electronics department cancelled a couple of the pracs. Looks like i either have to do more maths (eek, i hate uni maths), or do my degree over 4 years, instead of 3. The latter option doesnt look all bad, really...

The first year is all basic science-y subjects, anyway. You dont start the opto-specific stuff until second year anyway. Bring it on, I say! I'm currently doing the previous degree, bachelor of technology in optoelectronics. Will probably end up doing it over 4 years though, so I can do the...

ahhh... Now i was a first year last year. Their procedure was better. Basically, they started in an unpublished room (i never got some of the enrollment stuff due to being out of the state, ouch. The paper i missed was about what was happening, and where!), and gave you a map of where to go...

Well, i found the C5C 244 stickers that say 07, and got one of them. They said that concession stickers are in student support (lincoln building). Went there, got the parking permit (ewww, lavender). They say that the concession stickers are in C5C 238. Went up there. It's locked...

Seriously, just go into the uni. Most of the books on the list they dont publish online, but the folders at co-op have them all for first semester. Of course, i wouldnt *buy* them there - just take pen and paper, write down the name, author, edition, and price. then look elsewhere :)...

you know, going in today, getting my parking sticker, etc, and abusing the staff responsible is looking quite appealing, at this point...

On a related note - does anyone know when the earliest time we can get our new uni cards are? I'd prefer to get both of them on the same day. Without queues. Queues are evil. *grumbles at the thought of going into a medicare queue for ages*

Heh...I believe that was in E6A, the computer labs. Most annoying, having a physics tutorial, finishing our maths assignments, to be tossed out due to fire... Needless to say, we wandered in there after about 10 mins...no one cared... Too bad if there's a real fire - when everyone will...

"(A) Read letters in sequence" Letters do not include spaces, or other random characters. test it, with the inputs they give. From what i understand, and the results that came back from the test run confirm this, letters are a-z, both cases. No numbers, no spaces, no random characters, etc...

Not exactly. I could have done that. IIRC, Force = set the essid, then make it look for an IP address. Then again, i'm not running windows...so...things can be a bit different... Then again, on windows it wouldnt connect at all...whether it was sitting around waiting, or being actively...

I was using the uni wireless...last thursday...fourth floor, comfy chairs...great spot up there :D Had massive troubles trying to force it to connect - both in E7B and in the library, eventually was able to force it to connect (yeah, it dropped out every few mins for a while, how annoying!)...
