a bit silly to do 171 unless you are 1) aim to transfer into actuarial studies or 2) really are into stats (even then i think 1) should decide it for you) and can def see the subject helping you somehow down the track. remember when you get a job dont think having 171 in your subjects isnt...

check out the requirements of the course on the online handbook. but there shouldnt be any math prerequisites. generaly knowledge of 1+1 = 2 helps.

an option is to finish your single accounting degree - get out - get a job - in first half of your first year when you wait to get enough experience before starting CA subjects, do a post grad finance qualification - finsia/kaplan or CFA if you are uber keen - before you start your CA subjects...

well work backwards would be the best option in my opniion....and pick easier subjects (and relevant ones - STAT170/ISYS123) if you can.
