    Multiple choice

Pretty sure the answer to 4 is A and 9 is C. If you want to really analyse this crap, none of the answers are absolutely correct as the majority of CO2 diffuses into the RBC in the blood (I do not mean attached to haemoglobin as haemoglobin doesn't reside inside the RBCs). Only a minority is...

    Need a Adv English Tutor.

Hey, I'm interested in tutoring you for English Adv although the distance might be a bit of a problem. However, you said you go to MLC, which is situated in Burwood, and I live in the Eastwood/Epping area (not too far away). Oh, also, it'd help if you could give me a rough idea of which...

    'feature articles'

Well, by 'structure', I'm guessing they marked it on a paragraph - paragraph basis rather than the physical layout of the article. Seriously, it's pointless to rule a margin down the middle and write down half a page. Anyway, I guess it might depend on your teacher, but any competent English...

    Frankenstein/BladeRunner

So you're questioning the benignity of the 'monster' but you say the 'replicants' in BR are sinister. What?

    Frankenstein/BladeRunner

Re: Frankenstein/BR - circular dystopias? By 'circular dystopias', do you just mean that the didactic ideas/issues proposed in BR and Frankenstein are prevalent throughout the epochs of our existence? In other words, that these are perpetual issues which arise time and time again?

Gatsby and the concept of the 'American Dream'

If I remember correctly, I claimed that his superfluous pursuit of Daisy was emblematic or a resemblance of the faux nature of the American Dream.

    Techniques in FRANKENSTEIN

I think there's a metaphor in there somewhere.

    Frankenstein/BladeRunner

How about the notion of human self-annihilation in the face of human nature? It seems ironic that scientific 'progress' in both BR and Frankenstein merely brings humans closer to death and destruction. You could possibly identify the scenes in BR and Frankenstein where the creation overpowers...

When do we get our premiers award???

Hey, I just picked mine up today and I'm wondering if the bottom half of the back of the medal should be blank?

    Acceleration HSC results issue

I thought if you had accelerated 2U and done 4U in year 12 you can choose between 2 scenarios. This is to either count 2U maths as 2 units, 3 unit as 1 unit and 4 unit as 1 unit OR disregard 2U, count 3U as 2 units and 4U as 2 units. Well, that's what I've heard anyway.

    Blade Runner - Advanced English

Yeah it is. They paired it up with Shelley's Frankenstein. Anyway, maybe you should just draw some links between their relationship and humanity's relationship with nature. Maybe look at J.F Sebastian and his robots, the replicants and possibly the connection between Batty and Tyrell (which I...

    Does God exist?

Do you know what you're talking about? Does "Charles Darwin" 'spark' anything? Comparative embryology, comparative anatomy, DNA hybridisation, Convergent/Divergent evolution, Gregor Mendel. Sorry, I'm just regurgitating biology. If anything, these pieces of evidence formulate a much...

    Related Materials! HELP!

I'm not sure you can, but in any case, it would be pretty stupid to do so. If you're offering related material, at least have the decency to offer a good one in terms of links and corresponding ideas. I don't see much correlation between The Crucible and BNW.

    Belonging - 2009

I think you people are tackling this from the wrong direction. If you want better marks in English, I suggest studying the core texts thoroughly first. From there, you'll be able to extract issues or 'themes' related to the concept of 'Belonging' and find texts that not entirely focus on...
