    Opinion on dropping degree

but that's not in semester 1 lol. so i guess i won't do metric spaces. what about logic and foundations, does anyone know what that course is like? from a glimpse of the past papers, it doesn't look all that interesting to me. nah i don't think i can get it waived templar. my marks aren't...

    Opinion on dropping degree

yeh i've considered that, but the more i do engo the more i seem to dislike it. (i enjoy the programming part but i really don't like the management stuff). keeping software i suppose is like a safeguard, incase i can't find anything math related for my career. On another note, Does anyone...

    Opinion on dropping degree

software engineering screwed me over with the restructure of the degree, so i had to retake 2nd year subjects. B (adv math) Science requires 48cp of senior subjects whereas B science doesn't. i don't have 48cp of senior UoS (only 24 by end of this semester).

    Opinion on dropping degree

I am currently in my third year doing a B(Software) Engineering/BScience degree. However I would like to drop the Engineering degree and grab a major in mathematics. The thing is I would prefer to graduate under BScience(Advanced Mathematics), rather than the regular BScience, which requires me...

    elective question, doing engo/science

yeh, might beable to although i'm not sure. physics major: 12cp junior yr, 18cp (assuming you do astro as well), 24cp senior is 54cp. and junior maths is 12cp + intermediate is 6cp? (MATH2067 instead of MATH2061+2065) so 72cp in total, need another 24cp in science area. minus the...

~15mins ±2mins, I had a 8am math1901 lecture at wallace followed by 9am elec1601 lab in link building last yr.

    elective question, doing engo/science

what stream of engineering are you doing? and what major are you aiming for in science? if you're doing a combined degree, i think it would be 156cp of engineering instead of 168... and some of the engineering core, eg the maths and phys/chem will count towards the 96cp of science

    PHYS1002 (fundamentals)

it's fine, all you'll be doing is mechanics and waves.

    MATH2962 vs MATH2963

oh thanks. i will do math2962 then. i'm planning to major in applied, but math2963 gives me a clash and it doesn't seem that interesting to me.

    MATH2962 vs MATH2963

Hi, i'm unsure which of the 2 to do MATH2962 (real and complex analysis avd) or MATH2963 (math computing and non linear systems) i will also be doing MATH2961 linear mathematics and vector calc and MATH2965 partial differential equ intro. So i'm wondering which math out of 2962 or 2963...

    probability (with replacement)

There are 5 different coloured marbles in a bag. i) what is the probability that with 5 random draws (with replacement), you draw all the different coloured marbles? ii)what is the probability that with 6 random draws (with replacement), you draw every coloured marble atleast once...

    Matrix

    given real numbers a and b consider the system of linear equations 5y + 3z = 1 ax + y - z = a - 3 ax + 2y + 2z = a + 2b -2 2ax - 2y = 2a + b i)use elementary row operations to find the values of a and b for which the equations are inconsistent. ii)find the values of a and b for which...

    complex complex complex!

Consider the complex function z → z + 1/z. Show that this function maps a circle of radius 2 centred at the origin in the z-plane, to an ellipse in the w-plane (where w = z + 1/z). Find the (Cartesian) equation of the ellipse.

    5 Extra UAI points

If you go to a crappy school like bonnyrigg for example (like i did), EAS is automatic, you don't even need to apply for anything, it's already given to you.

difference in exam and assessment marks

physics exam mark was 7 pts higher engish (std) exam mark was 6 pts higher math ext 2 exam mark was 4 pts higher math ext 1 exam mark was 1 pt higher chemistry exam mark was 1 pt higher guess that happens if you go to bonnyrigg high school and don't come 1st in anything :(
