    so which textbooks do you actually use?

    i've been talking to a couple of friends and everyone says don't buy the recommended texts and that they never actually even read some of the prescribed. so... what do i buy? (the woman at the unsw bookstore said don't buy anything till you ask the lecturer which one you will actually be...
