Hahaha poor turtleface, always sticking up for accountants.
Anyone going into corporate finance will know that accounting is important. I'd say that an in depth knowledge of the financial statements is something all IBers know inside out. You don't need to do 3 years of accounting to learn this...
I've thought about this too!
Most of the bankers that I have met haven't looked that healthy at all. Plenty have been fat/scrawny. You get your odd IBer who looks like they just stepped off a football field though (dunno how they do it).
I don't know what is going to happen to my perfectly...
late reply but:
Where X is a random variable (continuous or discrete)
Var(X) = E(X^2) - {E(X)}^2
Where X1, X2, X3..........Xn are random variables, a linear combination would be:
aX1 + bX2 + cX3 + ...... kXn
where a, b, c, ....k are real numbers.
why would you do an MBA in Australia when you have Schulich in your home turf, not to mention all of the American Business schools around the corner?
you are going to have employers back home asking 'what's an agsm?'

Nice to see Wharton on top where it belongs!
treason: I did specify 'not primarily because of career objectives. The Masters (or any post grad qualification) is important as I hope to enter academia down the track. I haven't met any finance academics with only an undergrad degree(although I know there are some).
I don't think Wharton...
thanks for the feedback everyone. I have appreciated the quality of replies from most respondents.
I have actually decided to gain a little more work experience before I make any decisions on post graduate study. Perhaps the definitive choice will be a little easier in the future.
And tacky...
I'm sort of confused now. Is the MFin @ UNSW shit? Would Sydney be better?
Take note that I'm doing the course because I LIKE finance. Not primarily because of career objectives. I'm doing it because I feel that the finance I learnt in undergrad was just too piss easy to be of any worth.
Very interesting. I've never thought about doing an accounting masters. Can anyone else confirm treason's assertion that a strong accounting background is in fact more important than a finance background when entering IB?
I really want to do the Masters in Finance though. Finance is my...

Whilst Sydney has its...
