perform an investigation and gather first-hand information to observe the occurrence of different striation patterns for different pressures in discharge tubes

I think i'm confused with the difference betwen striations and darkspaces. are striations near the anode (the bands) ?

i took striations as the entire patterns observed within the tube

yeah well we started with motors because they wanna leave space last with astro

hmm well there are dark spaces (crookes and faradays) but i think theyre different to striations. i dunnoe explain ?

striations are the glowing bands near the anode half of the tube, dark spaces are the parts without light, eg, the faraday dark space is the 1 between the striations and the cathode glow and the crookes dark space is the 1 between the cathode glow and the cathode... as the pressure decreases, the crookes dark space extends to the entire tube
