does anybody have the same class and teacher for extension 1 and mathematics.
I find that i can learn alot easier but when it comes to exam preperation it is difficult to no what work is 2 unit and what is 3 unit as our teacher hates telling us everytime we start a new topic.
Does anybody else have this problem?
what should i do?:(

I've had the same teacher for Yr 10 Adv. Maths, 2u Accelerated, Yr 12 3u and Yr 12 4u. I would use past papers as an indication of what to study for each

i think im worse. ive had the same teacher for year 9 - 12 maths. this includes all the lunch time accelerated lessons and afterschool ones since year 9 (i.e. SC in year 9, 2u in year 10, 3u last year)

Yeah I have the same problem. Whenever I have a test, I ask my friends who do 2 unit, and if they haven't done it, then I know it's 3u, and if they know it, then it's 2u...so just ask other people in your grade.

Also, my school gives these little slip things out, before a test, which has what topics will be tested, and for the half yearly (which is tomorrow....) the list covers everything that you've done, but it indicates what is 2u and what is 3u...maybe you should ask your teacher for the same thing :)

yeh i have the same class and teacher for 2/3 unit. then like 8 of us break away from the class fro 4 unit with the same teacher..its great because you only have to get used to one kind of teaching style and you dont get confused by teachers teaching you different ways of doing things

I think it's better to have the same teacher for 2u and 3u, because you can spend more time on the harder 3u stuff, rather than the 2u stuff.

shit our teacher is the worst teacher ever. actually i think worst is an understatement. we lose marks for just about anything. oh yeah and all of the past yr 12's that have had her have failed miserably in 2u and 3u. I dont think she can even teach 4u
hell i dont even think she can do 3u. I can seriously go on for a long time talking about her stupidness but my arms are hurting:

- i gave her an easy trig question to do once, it took me 3 lines to figure out, and it took her 2 pages to figure out.

- i have her an easy trig sub intergral- couldnt do it. (she remained quiet for the lesson pretending i didnt ask her)

- our half yearly is 50% prelim topics cos shes so freakin slow

- this is a true quote "i don't have to learn these formulas, i'm not doin the hsc ur doin the hsc. I just need to know that they exist and where to find them"

- if u dont restate the answer fully at the end of a question u lose a mark (shes always correcting our grammar as well, fucking get it right its maths not english!!!)

- shes the head teacher for some reason beyond my knowledge

endquote: mis bird, i hope u fly away

i think that since she will be your teacher for the HSC you should probably just learn to like her. I mean were adults now, just talk to her.
