talk about a feeling of deja vu for ancient history!! omg geogrpahy was great!! the exact same essay question for 21, compared to the catholic trial!! the other essays weren't hard, generally basic, tho i forgot to write the areas of lon that wetlands exist in... overall extremely happy

Abit trickier than I though, I wish I did the catholic paper for trials so I would've felt abit more confident.

I liked the last essay though, other two weren't too bad. I think I did well in the shorts, mults tricked me.

Fark it, I am done. Hopeful of a Band 5!

I didn't like question 21 at all.

was that the economic activity one? a teacher at my school (as you know probably) wrote the paper and has been quite relieved that there has been no complaints about the paper. shes been nervous all week apparantly

I liked the extended response part, it was clear and there were no tricks or surprises. Economic activity was perfect [trial question], ecosystems was great for my chosen case study and the urban dynamics one...it would have been easier if it wasn't a combination of two syllabus points, but at least it was easy to tell what sorts of things they were looking for.
Wasn't too happy with the multiple choice. Short answers were questionable, I didn't have extreme difficulty answering any of them but I don't know if I wrote what was required to get the marks. I felt there was a bit too much repetition with the world cities stuff.

Overall I think I've ended the exams on a positive note. I didn't get the mark I was hoping for, but hopefully I still do well.

Catholic Trial

I found the test really hard. There were six dot points in the syllabus that hadn't be asked yet but they only included one of them in the HSC and instead repeated questions.

Just wondering what the questions were on the Catholic School Trial?

they didnt really repeat any dot points at all. none of the essay questions had ever been essays before. or are you including theshorts aswell?

i had nothing to say in the esays

i wrote like 2-3 pages for the first two and 7 for the thrid one

pretty easy...mc & short answers were good....q20 i kinda screwed up , 21 was a bit dodgy

can someone help me on ecosytem resiliance etc? that short answer question? i wrote about genetic diversity was this correct. i stayed on bos all last night and never studied at all. i came out sooo happy. i love geography and it was particularly easy. this q was the only thing that stumped me cos its content based so i fluked it.

Genetic diversity assists resilience as there is a variety of genetic information that can be passed on to future generations in times of natural stress. Natural stress is a selective pressure on the biosphere and alters its genetic composition. It reduces vulnerability as there is a greater chance that the favourable characteristic will be passed on. But some times when particular genes are inherited they are linked with unfavourable genes like a particular insect pest is able to resist certain pesticides, but it is unable to survive winters as well as the insects who can't tolerate the pesticide.

thats exactly what i wrote, i always used underneath the lines, and i even used that example, talked about natural selection and favourable characteristics etc using eg's of the paper moths in bio haha... yeah awesome

i guess what it was about. god i hope i get band 6. my teacher is like yeah you will get band six, then to my friends oh maybe a middle 5, yeah a upper 4.... and im like oh now i feel bad. cos i never study !!! oh well its over.
