No...it's ranked with who ever does 3U. If there are 50 3U students, then you get ranked out of 50. If there are 20 4U students, your 3U rank is out of 50. The two subjects are independent of each other when it comes to ranks, marking, moderating etc.

At my school, the person who was announced to be First in 3U was actually ranked about 15-20th if you counted the 4U kids.
