well im planning on getting a lg u8138 and i was wondering about the plans, and coverage etc...
is there only one plan for 3g, the 3g network or do providers like orange and telstra support wcdma or cdma2000 (3g) phones with plans :/

ontop of that i hear some areas with 3g phones if u use your phone more than 50% of the time in that area costs more than if you use it in another area :/
some coverage thing , can anyone clear that up for me?

I wouldnt trust that 3 site at all - they have gotten into trouble three times now by the Dept. of Fair Trading for deceptive advertising. Your best best would be to look up reviews.

Yes from what i know if 3G didnt have an exlusive use of this technology, then it would be bankrupt already, it is hopeless, but the only one offering this tech in Australia

Yes i can see how they could of have been deceiving people.
most payment plans are hidden and masked with phases like “ only 999” and “ 2 for 1 “
i have found out all of the payment plans so far and how they work...
yet what i don't understand is why the person i talked with, said you get charged more with roaming places

i dont know, maybe he was new and wasnt sure. Or it could be a new thing, cause roaming does use other networks infrastructure

Well the roaming thing you can still make and recieve calls, they dont charge extra for using telstra towers either...its all the same rate its only different rates when you make vid calls .

But if you are roaming, that means you can't access to 3 features? If so, then it is no different than using a 2G phone.

I reckon for value and what you get, this is the best phone on the market.

Its what I was going to get for Christmas, but I never got around to it, so Ill get it some time soon.

The only downside to it IMO is that its radiation levels are pretty high, but still nowhere near as bad as they were in phones 4 or 5 years ago.
