Are the rankings of the 3unit class that does 4unit, and the 3unit class that don't do 4unit, ranked differently?

Yes. For the purposes of assessment mark moderation, every student doing 3u at your school (regardless of whether or not they are a 4u student) will be ranked for the course.

I reckon it totally sux too.....not only did the real 1st person in 3U didn't get an award(because she does 4U, the real 1st person in 4U didn't get an award too.........because they combine the 3u mark and 4u for the ranking of four unit student.................

well...they combine the mark for 4 u and 3 u at my school when they actually give out the award....but i dont know if it will happen......it is just so stupid the people that actually come first in each course does not get the award they deserve....

Yeah, the Board of Studies doesn't actually combine the marks for the purposes of assessment ranking, though. So you other people need not be scared.

but wouldn't that be good for the 4u mark since we'd all be getting like 90+ for the 3u paper?
