i'm just wondering if there are 891 buses which stop at the racecourse operating on saturdays during the exam period.

The 891 does not run on weekends. You have to catch the 339, 372, 374 or 376 from Stand C in Eddy Avenue.

So you can catch "339, 372, 374, 376 from Stand C in Eddy Avenue, or 373 from Circular Quay, via Elizabeth Street and Taylor Square. Get off at the first stop on Alison Road at Doncaster Avenue." to the Racecourse
