Hi! I'm a 2024 graduate from Sydney Boys and will be studying Actuarial Studies + Computer Science at UNSW in 2025. I am willing to tutor students in the Preliminary + HSC course for Physics and Chemistry as well as Mathematics Ext2/Ext1/Adv + Junior Mathematics (K-10). I charge $60 per hour for in-person lessons and $45 per hour for online. I reside in inner west Sydney but I am willing to travel to appropriate locations for physical lessons and I am willing to offer discounted prices for group lessons. To know if you are willing to continue, the first hour of a lesson with any new student will be free of charge.

Results

Chemistry: 93 (95 internal, ranked 17th)

Maths Ext 2: 94 (94 internal/external)

Math Ext 1: 97 (97 internal/external)

Math Adv: 97 (2023 accelerated)

Accomplishments:

59th UNSW School of Mathematics Competition Participant

Academic Achievement (Top 20% of grade overall): 2019-2024

ICQ (International Chemistry Quiz): 2023 HD

AMC (Australian Mathematics Competition): 2020 (Top 9%), 2023 (Distinction)

AIMO (Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad): 2022

Method:

As a tutor, I am willing to offer students in-depth lessons by ensuring they understand the concepts behind theory instead of pure memorisation in order to solidify their understanding of the course. This method of learning new content changed my rank in Physics from 130th as I started to 9th as my final internal ranking. I have a concrete understanding of the syllabus as I've completed several trial papers from top NSW schools as well as dozens of HSC papers. This process has allowed me to gauge an understanding of several exam questions that I can pass on to help prevent my students from being stuck in the middle of a test. From attending several different tutoring colleges across Sydney, I can share a combination of their techniques to help students prepare for their exams. I offer around the clock support for students and I am willing to review any long/short answer responses for students studying Physics or Chemistry. If students are uncertain of a schedule to follow, I can devise a study progression plan with personalised aid to allow students to achieve their maximum marks.
