Hello guys, my name is Pablo and I am a James Ruse graduate with an ATAR of 99.90 and marks of 99 in both 4u and 3u maths. Also, I came 2nd in both 4u and 3u maths in James Ruse (1st ranked school in the state) so I know exactly what is required to achieve good marks in HSC maths. I completed a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Sydney with the University Medal and the top mark in my cohort. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Physics from Harvard University which means that I'm extremely comfortable with the HSC syllabus since I've seen all the topics at a higher level in University.


What I offer:

I give you the knowledge and information required to achieve whatever mark you want regardless of your initial ability. I will help you reach and spectacularly exceed your HSC goals. I will teach absolutely anybody who wants to improve their mathematics level.

Almost all of the students that left a review below, and those that couldn't, ended their HSC year regularly getting >90% in their mathematics tests even though some started with marks as low as <50%. Virtually all my students who stick until the end have received band 6 in extension 1 math and E4 in extension 2 math.

We go through:

• A strong solid theory for each topic. I tackle a new concept from so many angles that you are bound to get them.

• Exam style questions from over 500 School term and trial papers: HSC past exams ranging from 1967 to last year's paper, my own questions and other sources. Each of my questions is reflective of a broader range of questions so we learn the method for tackling ALL HSC math questions without tedious repetition.

• Tips, tricks, shortcuts and how to avoid conventional pitfalls.

• Exam technique. I believe that exam technique is an art in itself. During my HSC year I never lost more than 1 mark on any math question even when I had no time left to solve the problem in its entirety (very common in Ruse) but in 1min I would write down some key points that got me 2/3, 1/2, 3/4 regardless. Other things we go through in exam technique are managing stress before a test, time management, "silly" mistakes and anything specific to your particular needs.

Throughout my HSC year I never understood circle geo and combinatorics for the 3U & 4U course and at the same time my marks suffer due to poor foundation... This is where I desperately looked for tutors.... Pablo is honestly the best tutor anyone can ask for. He is super knowledgeable and proficient maths, especially because he does maths at university (will be very useful if you are doing the new syllabus). He also teaches you shortcuts and tricks that you will not learn from school, giving you a great advantage. Pablo is probably the best Maths tutor in Sydney at such affordable prices of only $25/hour when other tuition companies provide lower quality material for very expensive rates. I believe to get a high band 6 in 3u and 4u, you will need Pablo and his resources and your own commitment and self study. Nothing ELSE!!! Pablo identifies and works on your weaknesses specifically, as well as teaching you James Ruse level tricks and tips for hard questions. Infact, each question in his exam booklet has a seperate trick and short method which can save you valuable time in the exam and get ahead of your competition. Pablo also is a comedic person who will make sure that the hardest and most grilling parts of 4u become enjoyable and easier to concentrate on. You will definitely have no regrets in choosing Pablo and honestly his hourly rates do not match his level expertise. He also has a list of all the possible hard questions for each topic in 3u and 4u which can definitely put you in the top 5 rank at your school because school exams either have his questions or questions that are very similar to the ones on his booklets. I tend to only teach mathematics although I mentor my students in all aspects of the hsc including overall exam technique in all subjects, how to set up a good study plan for the sciences, where you should focus your energy on, dealing with exam stress etc... I also offer reading of your english essays for free although I did only get 93 for English advanced. I guess I can only help you up to that level. I only offer tutoring in subjects I known exquisitely back to front and these include all mathematics and physics (I do research in physics at university) and potentially also chemistry (I got 96 in the hsc for it) but I think if you are interested you should pm me or send me a text or email so we can discuss your needs.
