I'm Thomas Yu, and I graduated as the Dux of Knox Grammar School with a 99.95 ATAR in 2025. This year, I'll be studying Medicine at either USYD or UNSW.
In last year's HSC, I achieved the following results, alongside an internal rank in the top 3 at Knox for all units that counted towards my ATAR:
- Chemistry: 97 (NSW State Rank #6)
- English Advanced: 98
- Mathematics Advanced (2023, accelerated): 99
- Mathematics Extension 1 (2023, accelerated): 98
- Mathematics Extension 2: 98
- Physics: 98 (NSW State Rank #5)
For this school holiday only, I will be offering private tutoring for Mathematics (all levels), Chemistry and Physics at a rate of $60 per hour (which is around the same as what most tutoring companies charge for group lessons). Discounts are available for group lessons. Furthermore, I am offering a free consultation and the first lesson at a discounted rate of $30 per hour.
I'm also selling my English material (1984, Tempest/Hagseed, T.S. Eliot and various Module C) which I used to score 98 overall in English Advanced and 99 externally. Prices are negotiable and bulk discounts are available.
From personal experience, this extended school holiday break is a critical time for you to consolidate your knowledge learnt in Term 4 and/or get a head start on forthcoming content to be covered in 2026. I am confident that I'll be able to assist you to get on the right track with this. If you have any Task 1 assessments scheduled for the start of Term 1, I'll be more than willing to help you with that as well.
