Hey guys im doing a bachelor of commerce first year and chose FIN1612 as my elective. Heres my timetable:

Monday:
12:00 - 1:00 - FINS1612 Tutorial
4:00 - 6:00 - ECON1101 Lecture
7:00 - 8:00 - ECON1101 Tutorial

Tuesday:
2:00 - 4:00 - ACCT1501 Lecture
4:00 - 5:00 - ACCT1501 Tutorial

Thursday:
10:00 - 12:00 - FINS1612 Lecture
5:00 - 6:00 - ECON1202 - Tutorial
6:00 - 8:00 - ECON1202 - Lecture

I tried to pack it into 3 days to allow for work rest and study on days off. I also didnt want to pick early classes as i have problems waking up in the morning LOL.
I have a few questions though regarding my choice

1. Does it matter if tutorials are after lectures or vice versa?
2. For days like Monday and Thursday, where i'd be there all day, do you think thats a bit much? Like would i get really tired?
3. Since ive got massive breaks in between sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, what are some of the things i could do on campus to pass the time? Like is there a gym or something?
4. If there is a gym, is it free or do you have to pay each time you go?
5. Since i finish pretty late on somedays, im probably gonna drive to uni, so would i have a massive problem finding parking to last me all day?
6. OH also, does FINS1612 require any mathematics prequisites, like do you have to be really good at maths to be able to cope in that elective?

1. depends on you, u'll have to wait and see...if they are close to one another one sharpens you up for the next one...

2.no you wont get tired, if you've had enough sleep...also your own fault as you have massive breaks in between

3. yes there is a gym...you could study, go to the library...or make some friends as there will prolly be heaps of ppl who have breaks like that...roundhouse is an option...ur a com student so library lawn is a safe bet

4. gym, yes there is...google it...you have to pay...it has memberships too...nuf said

5. parking...get there early, or yes parking could be a problem...best to ask others

6. if ur doing fins its the same as qma maths wise...good luck, havent done it myself

you could probably have a better timetable if you went to the 10am lectures

Sorry for casting a shadow but, unless you live within 1/2hour of the uni(then u can go home), you will be e x t r e m e l e y bored on mondays. I suggest getting some, if not all, possible early lectures - 10am is not that bad believe me.
Going to the gym seems a decent option for a 2-3 hr break, but the worst are 1hr breaks where u really cant do anything, so try to avoid more than one 1 hr brk per day.
