wat if ... you hav an assesment mark of 89 and came second with the first guy getin 90 and then in the hsc you beat that guy by like 8 marks... say u got 87 while he gets 79. wat hapens then??

What would happen, considering that no one else has beaten either of you guys in the HSC exam, is that he would receive a moderated assessment mark of 87 and an HSC exam mark of 79, which means that he would get an overall HSC mark of 83, while you would get a moderated assessment mark of around 86-85, and your HSC exam mark of 87, so you would get around 86.
