umm unless this is a trick q...isnt it just 0.085/100 then multiplied by 95?

0.085 divided by 95...then multiply that answer by 100...the answer should be .089474...or .09 to 2 decimal places

that is the way to find all percentages using you calculator

I'm quite positive general maths students are allowed to use calculators!

yeah, arent calculators allowed in practically every exam that might need them? the last i heard of the "no calc" rule was yr 10 SC *shudders*

I'd like to know how you could do general maths without a calculator.

I took 2 calculators into my exam - the scientific one and the graphics one.

Hmmm ... it scares me that you guys are dividing the 95 by 100 rather than the actual percentage ... can lead to confusion later on ... trap for young players!

0.085% of 95 = (0.085 ÷ 100) x 95 = 0.00085 x 95 = 0.08075
