hey guys, just a question in general, not about chem... wats the hsc scores like? ive been pretty crappy at chem all yr and i know my rank wouldnt be too good, i can study my head off for chem and get a really good mark for hsc but would it count if i have a crappy rank from thru out the yr...? ya kno wat i mean.. lyk y study so hard to get a good mark wen its not goin to count? i kno the uai depends on hsc marks and wat u did thru out the year.. but getting a really good mark in hsc.. will that make much of a diff if u have a constant crappy rank from thru out the year?

It will raise the pool of assesment marks which will indirectly increase yours, although maybe not by much.

But by every 2 exam marks you gain the mark that is counted in the HSC will raise by 1.

Yeah i'm with angelicdevil! Call me a late bloomer or something but i did considerably well in the trials compared to at the start of the year when my rank was 43/52. Damn i REALLY sucked! I now have 78% and am looking for a chem mark of 85+. Please tell me it's not impossible! I know what EDTA stands for!! :)

Na, not impossible. For example I got a mark of 54% in the half yearly, then a band of 85% in the trials, not I am looking for 90% in the HSC
