First, I would like to appreciate anyone who could help.

The situation is:
I made a re-attempt request for a 2nd semester unit at the beginning of this year. And at the start of this semester, I decided to transfer my double degree to a single degree, and not to re-attempt that unit (I got a pass for that). So I withdraw it.

However, until today, I suddenly realised that "The credit point(s) of the previous attempt will no longer count towards your degree." I checked e-student and the credit points for that unit indeed disappeared

My question is how can I claim those credit points back. I really need those 4 credit points, otherwise, I won't be able to graduate by the end of this semester.

Anyone could give some advice please. I am so worried about it. Many thanks.

Wait, so confused right now.

It's a lot easier if you give specifics - your degree and the unit you're talking about, mainly.

From what you say: The old unit won't count in your new degree unless it's part of it. A unit will only be part of a degree (and count for credit) if a) it's a core/prescribed unit, or b) your degree has room for it as an elective. Unless the unit falls under either of those criteria, it can't count to your degree.

That's the problem with transferring - you need to check how much of your past degree will count.

The re-attempt issue is irrelevant, as well.

Thanks PwarYuex for the help. My bad, I didn't state the situation clearly.

Before this semester started, I was enroled as a BCom-Acst and BAppFin student. And since this semester, I transferred my degree to BCom-Acst and then this will be my last semester in the uni.

The problem is I got a pass grade in both ACST151 and ACST305 before, and I made a re-attempt request at the beginning of this year. At that time I supposed myself to do them again some time later in the course, maybe in fourth year. But now since I am in single degree, I decided not to take them.

But when I got my transcript yearsterday, it shows I was enroled in those two units, but didn't gain credit pts for them. I suddenly realised there is a rule "The credit point(s) of the previous attempt will no longer count towards your degree.", which means once I made a re-attempt request, even if I didn't attempt it, I lost the credit pts for the previous attempt.

So now I have to claim those credit points back, but I would like to know how?

dw its not that complicated all u have to do is go to student enquires

the reason u dont have ur cr pts is cause they have to remove it for u to re attempt. wen u unenrol unless u tell them u dont want to re attempt eva they leave it there in case u wish to enrol at some point. therefore just go student enquires and they'll fix u up.
