A really easy question in regards to prescribed text (1 Viewer)

hey dudes and duettes

i am doing Gwen Harwood poems, and there are abt 7 of them or something (it has been a while), and when they say ONE prescribed text, they mean one poem right?

is it possible for them to ask 2 poems? or

specify one particular poem?

they dont say 'ONE prescribed text'...they say 'YOUR prescribed text'
and yes it is possible that they might ask for a specific poem..
if they ask you for your prescribed text, it doesnt mean all of the poems, just two or three...its impossible to write abt all 7 seven[or how many there are] poems, plus the stimulus material and your own texts in the period of 40 mins..

just 2 or 3?? so does that mean that when they say *ONE prescribed text* and if i am doing poems, then it is unreaosnible to do only 1 poem?

they wont say *ONE prescribed text* they'll say *YOUR prescribed text* and yes one poem is not enough...teacher's look for marks to give you, and if you only mentioned one poem then you wont get too much marks..

yeah our teacher recommended that we use two poems for gwen harwaoods....and its usually says ur prescribed text..or even at least two..

I'm doing Skryznecki, but you should do a couple of poems... your prescribed text is all of the poems set for study, and then you can use analysis of a couple of poems to back up your argument

this is so weird, cuz our teacher hasnt said anything, and some of the top responses that i had a look at didnt have 2 poems, just 1. Maybe it is differnt for my skool..umm...

maybe its not quantity its quality. maybe they had alot to talk about, but usually there is only so much you can write thats why u write 2 or more. Plus one of the outcomes is how u relate the texts or something like that.

yeh something like analysis and synthesis of texts...its better to do more than one, just to be on the safe side...you know wat they say: two texts are better than one...
and yeh if they ever ask you more *AT LEAST ONE related text of your own choosing* then do two, cuz one still doesnt seem like enough..
