isnt it hard to adapt paragraphs to different essay questions if u dont know your para or essay inside and out? so I dont get it when people say they memorise the 'night before' and stuff like that becuase you obviously wouldnt be experienced that well with it right?

the thing with adapting for me is when do I make sure to talk about the essay question? intro im good but im scared about body para. when I write my body para how can I make sure that im referencing the question effectively. like can I just say something about it at the start and towards the end of the body para then regurgitate prememorised analysis throughout the middle. im scared im gonna go on a tangent as in regurgitating prememorised analysis and not address the essay question well enough

is there like a set place in a body para where I can address the question.

how does it work for all the analysis I memorised if the question is extremely general. Can I just write everything I memorised with casual tweaks here and there with the topic sentences, thesis?? etc

or you could not memorise essays, playing question russian roulette and respond to the question when you see it based on what you learned about the text throughout the year.

imo depends on the school. In all fairness, I haven't gotten my english marks back yet so I'll confirm after I get them back... But all in all, my school usually makes the questions INSANELY close to their formative assessments so its net just a baseline for a slightly changed stimulus for the actual thing. So if your school does this then thats fine (note that if you're going to a selec, you may be disadvantaged slightly (possibly) if you memorise as cohorts tend to clutter in ranks, which wont differentiate and hence harder questions can be asked that may deviate from the preprepared essays you memorised).
