Im in Advanced English and dont know whether I should drop to Standard.
These were my marks for term 2 and 3:
Assignment 1, Essay - 12/15
Assignment 2, Newsletter - 12/15
End of year exam - 65% S this is why i think i should drop)
Assignment 3, Speech- 18/20.

Does it really scale you down to drop to standard? How different is the amount of work load in standard and advanced?

You're allowed to do poorly in Year 11 Advanced English. Under no circumstances drop to Standard.

you seem to be like me - you manage well (extremely in your case) in your assessments, but exams are what pull you down.
just do some past exams in exam conditions and get a teacher to mark em. do all you can to improve your exam grades. you'll do great in advanced. i did. just stick with it.

Stay. Don't drop down to Standard. I still regret picking the subject

and remember, it's easier to drop to standard after a bit if you feel you need to (but you wont) than to jump up into advanced.

In reply to the threadstarter, standard in general has an easier workload, but not necessarily less workload.

your marks are really good, I don't know why you're stressing.

you should stick with advanced english.
most of the standard girls at my school regret not choosing advanced.
