Hi sry don't know where this goes.....YAY first assignment for year 12!!! great....
Anyway i need to asses Alexanders acheivements as 'King commander and statesman' i've got a few sources, they are Worthington, arryian, plutarch dioduris, and Hammond, any more i should use. Also is it better to look at him in a negative perspective or in a positive one.
Thanks

With Worthington you'll get - he was a great soldier but a useless king. I think its summarised in his article 'how 'great' was alexander'. "Every coin has two sides"
If i remember correctly, the consensus is that no one likes Worthington or his historical method was a bit iffy:p

I think AB Bosworth is The historian on Alexander the great

Arrian (tho greek, he had been a roman military leader, consul and governor?)- wrote to honour alexander, followed his military campaigns closely - great soldier, general and leader

Plutarch - attributed philosophical virtues to alex, aimed to write biography of alex not history.

Tarn - upper class gentlemen's view of alexander - flawless
