alternatives to google (1 Viewer)

anyone not use google to search the web?

Some newish web searches are:

www.a9.com

- run by amazon
- you can create an account to save your search history
- kind of slow
- has a toolbar similar to google toolbar
- search results provided by google
- various interface features

www.alltheweb.com

- results provided by yahoo (which doesn't use google any more)
- total clone of google interface

A9 returns the same search results as Google I've read. And I've tried it and it seems true so I'll stick to Google.

google is different... they show true web searches and when their paid advertisements they tell you and list them in another place!

i dont have a problem with google as it finds virtually anything i search for, so ill stick with it 4 now!!!

it's just amazon's marketing scheme saying that their brower is "enhanced" searches of google....
their attempt to sell more books
