Im currently having my holiday in Europe, and I come back on the 3rd of February.

My mum received my main round offer for Media in Screen Prod. at Macquarie Uni. However, she misread the directions, and thought that I was allowed to go to the university and enrol when I get back during the Late rounds, during the 6th and 7th Feb.

However, it was a main round offer, so the period of application officially ended on the 25th January. I found out that my mum misread the directions that night.

I called Macquarie on the 26th, but of course they were on holidays.

My mum does not speak good english, and I have cleared the cut off by 10 UAI points at least.

I plan to call them again tomorrow morning Australian time.

So can somebody tell me, is it possible Ive completely screwed my chances in this course? And how can I state my case to Macquarie University?

With the last/final rounds not being released yet, you might be able to still make it. Go and talk to the people at Lincoln building. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.

If you have cleared by 10, and you haven't accepted your offer, isn't it possible that your position is still vacant for late round? It is very likely that you will receive the same offer again.

You can accept in writing (ie mail/fax/etc) roughly up until your enrolment day. Please make sure you provide an address for us to send you a return address. Give us a call to confirm, but that's the way it seems to work.

Everyone else has given you the extra info you need to know...

Welcome to MQ :D
