In a batch of 100 cars, past experience would suggest that 3 could be faulty. If 3 cars are selected at random, find the probability that:
(a) 1 is Faulty
(b) None are Faulty
(c) All 3 cars are faulty

Ok. So say for example you were to do all 3 cars are faulty. Would you do (3/100 x 3/100 x 3/100)? Or would you have to consider that one faulty car has already been taken out and do (3/100 x 2/99 x 1/98)???

i dont think the question is saying that there's 100 cars, its just telling you that the probability of a faulty car is 3/100.
so you would just do (3/100)3
