The ranch is... you know the road going between MQ uni and Macq shopping centre? Follow that road up to the intersection with epping road, and it's on the other side of Epping road, on the right.

We can go study in America. Go down to the excange office (near the Sam Spot.. or the Quicki juice bar) and they'll tell you all about it. or, go to the MQ international website... forgotten the website, but if you go to MQ.edu.au I'm sure there'll be a link...

The Ranch is one of the close pubs to Mac.

The drinking holes are basically (in terms of distance to uni):

SAM Bar
The Ranch (on Herring, past the intersection with Epping Rd)
The Epping Hotel (Beecroft Rd, Epping)
The Epping Club (RSL) (Rawson St, Epping)
Eastwood Hotel (near Eastwood Station)

There's also the Stamford Hotel (Herring Rd, near Mac Centre), but that place doesn't really count.

Fuck me, last year the Australia - India Test series was going on and the bar people wouldn't change it to Fox Sports because the yankee's were asking for Sportscentre or some shite to be on. No-one in the bar gave a shit about some American cunts arguing about Kobe and Shaq or whatever so it really cut me up big time.

But yeah I'm mates with an American bloke who moved here last year and he knows quite a few others too. Quite a large population here, I even met a couple of Poms too recently.

FREE standup comedy at The Epping Hotel --> Thursday 9pm-11pm. It's hell funny...I don't get why there's even standing room left.
