:wave: I cant seem 2 find much information on the house of the faun, house of the Vetti and Villa of Diomedes!!! Most of the sites containing information are targeted for tourists and has little useful info for my purpose !! Does any one have any information on these Roman houses or any other??

You should be able to find heaps of info on the house of the faun and the house of the Vetti in most good Pompeii & Herc textbooks...however, I don't remember coming across the Villa of Diomedes so its probably not as important as the others;P

I actually did look at some books but it had general information. Can u tell me what books or sites have information about specific houses in pompeii/herculaneum??

This assessment task is so complicated; we have to gather six sources for each house and the villa and by refering to the sources we have to describe the main features, analyse what they reveal about the house or the villa and then evaluate the importance of these evidence in reconstructing and assessing how typical these are of Roman Domestic life.

Six sources for each to answer all that is heaps, though I'm quite sure the tourist information sites are helpful. Even the brief descriptions about frescoes and marble decorations can help you in describing the main features. These features could tell you what it was used for and the type of people who used it.

Say for the House of Vetti- you could use an archaeological source like the Lararium found in the house as it is one of the main features. Larariums which come in many sizes and styles reveals the importance of household religion as part of Roman domestic life. So more knowledge for us about the past... And so on. Hope this helped a little.
