A loaded die has a 2/3 probability of coming up 6. The other numbers have an equal probability of coming up. If the die is rolled, find the probability that it comes up

i) 2

ii) even

(P means Probability of)

If P(6) = 2/3...

P (1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5) = 1/3

P (any given number, 1-5) = 1/3 (divided by 5)
= 1/15

i) P(2) = 1/15

ii) P(even) = P(2) OR P(4) OR P(6)
= P(2) + P(4) + P(6)
= 1/15 + 1/15 + 2/3
= 12/15
