work function of tungsten = 8.6 * 10^-19 J
What is the maximum energy of photo electron ejected from the tungsten surface ?
Given the wavelength = 1.8 * 10^-19 m
Plancks constant constant = 6.63 * 10 ^-34 Js

Show working out please
thanks :D

N/A
E<sub>1</sub>=hf
=hc/λ

E<sub>photon</sub>=E<sub>1</sub>-W
=6.63*10-34*3*108/(1.8*10-19)-8.6*10-19
=1.105*10-6 (4 sig figures)

Which is also E1 the work function in this case provides very little difference.
