We should've gotten an email from Dennis Trenerry:

"The Topic 1 Lecture Notes are now available on Moodle.
Please read the information about how they are used and download/print the Lecture Notes before the first lecture."

When I went onto moodle and clicked on MATH1081 blah blah blah

Then saw this:

Dr. Trenerry's Lecture Notes
Below are links to information about the Lecturer and the Lecture Notes

-About the Lecturer
-How to Use These Lecture Notes
-Topic 1 Lecture Notes

When I clicked TOPIC 1 LECTURE NOTES, the same PDF for 'how to use these lecture notes' pops up....

wtf...

Thanks for any help

Contact the lecturer by email or by dropping by, informing them of the broken link.

Does anyone know if the 1081 lectures are recorded?

Out of 1131 and 1081 which one is harder? Or are they about the same?
Probably 1081.

1131 is lots of high school revision with a bit of new stuff, but 1081 is very... abstract. It introduces you to a very Pure Maths style of thinking, in terms of proof, and concepts in discrete mathematics (of which only 3u perms and combs is pretty much your only previous experience in that).

That said, the only reason I feel I got a lower mark in Discrete is because I unfortunately did it the semester when all the kids from James Ruse came along and they pretty much took all the HDs in the course :( (or that's what I put it down to, at least)

Yes but it is not recommended as you may not be able to see what he is writing on the blackboard.

1081 is maths that you probably would not have seen in high school.
1131 is revision/continuation.

So some people find 1081 harder since it is new. If you can get your head around some of the concepts early on ten it may not be too bad.
