I'm a student in a comprehensive high school (￢_￢, and I'm really stressing over upcoming things like ATAR and the HSC. I was just wondering if anyone might have some helpful tips like, any subjects I should avoid choosing, how to manage my time effectively, how to study well (especially in comprehensive high school settings), and etc ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶.

play to ur strengths for subject, if ur good at math try reinforce it from now if u have bad basics ur really gonna struggle. Be strong at things like algebra, linear, quadratics, exponents, logarithms, trig rules and trig, surds, and try always be ahead for math. If u think u can go for math ext 2, it scales good and is very much doable if u like math and the best indicator is if u do math adv and u genuinely dont find it hard and are cruising, and if u constantly get like 80+ for ext 1 do ext 2

I'm personally thinking of choosing biology, chemistry, math adv, economics, chinese cont. and english adv ╰(*´︶`*)╯ (Never physics).

Hey there, I graduated last year and did the exact same subjects, except maths ext 1 instead of chemistry. Unfortunately I don't have time to write out a full summary of tips (I'm sure someone on BoS will help you with those), but if you have specific questions about any of the subjects you're considering, feel free to ask me.

Also, don't stress! Try to make the most out of Yr 10, enjoy the last of your junior years, and you'll naturally pick up study skills if you put in the effort. Even your Yr 11 grades hardly matter, as it's a year of trial-and-error and doesn't count towards your ATAR.

I would not think to much about difficulty. As it turns out for every subject you listed there is a stackexchange which you can use for help. e.g. math stackexchange.

Preferably in-school (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧, I find it easier to absorb material in a studious environment.

Comprehensive high school leaver here and pls just enjoy your life hsc is not worth stressing over at all. My advice is enjoy yourself, work smarter not harder (ie do minimal work to get satisfactory results) and fit as many fun things into your probably little free time as possible (also this is probably biased due to the lack of subjects I actually did in my final year but I still feel like it’s definitely possible)
Also if you’re aiming for a crazy high atar cause you actually need it then this might not apply
