MQ PR/Marketing dept?
I did but didn't take it up. From memory she said it was "all day" but didn't get any specific times...

I did the last one, and it was 9 - whenever it was finished.

Who called you? If its someone nice (like most of them are) just call them back! :)

Beware of papercuts and extreme boredom. Its a good thing that we get paid decently!

It depends on the handout; I've done both 'levels'.

There is the placing-letters-into-envelopes-and-sitting-on-your-ass mail out, or;

the walking-around-in-circles-filling-boxes-with-brochures-to-send-to-[insert school/tafe here] mail out.

I think, by far, the second is the worst because you literally are walking around and around in a circle alllllll day, and having to concentrate to make sure you have one of everything. And then, if you run out, Jason will ask you to go to the storage area and heave massive boxes of more brochures out.

Its not that bad though, there are worse things (like cleaning a toilet), and the PR people are all pretty nice and laidback. Its a shame Dina left though, her and Michelle were such an awesome 'tag team'!

I wonder if Anneho (is that how you spell it?) applied to take her position? Now she would be awesome to work with!!

Hehe, Anho ;)

Ahh, I see, haha, sounds like an easy job, last time for the PG Expo they had me and another guy come in early for 1-2 hours and literally setup with all the heavy tables, my arms were dead by it, so this'll be good :) (plus I need money!) haha :)

Thanks dear

These aren't just any envelopes.

They're BIG envelopes.

(Actually when I've done it in the past -- it may differ this time -- they're typically small packages/A4 envelopes with books and little pamphlets and bookmarks, etc, all in one envelope... which I presume prevents the use of anything short of a multimillion dollar, fuji-xerox job, and thus paying people $22ish an hour is a better deal)

lol. i remember the 'walking around in a circle alll day' gig. It helped going clockwise then anti-clockwise, to not get dizzy. Otherwise, if you do get sick... use the envelope as a sick-bag (but choose an envelope thats going to a place far far away).
