Hi guys,

Just wondering is it actually possible to get bonus points via Educational Access Scheme? Ive had a bit of a rough time like my dad leaving me, mum in hospital, financial difficulties, moving houses twice in my senior years and wanting to know has anyone or anyone you know been successful?

If so, how many points did you gain, what was your situation (you dont have to say if you dont), when did you get notified that you were successful and what did you do to get the points?

Thanks!

ps. It says i can get a maximum of 10 ATAR points but Ill be happy with 5 since ill get getting a extra 5 from UWS's "regional bonus points".

I think there's a couple of threads around about this.

First of all, you need to show evidence of all these things. That might entail documentation of your parents' divorce, hospital records for your mum, etc. You then need to show how it has affected you negatively, perhaps a psych/counsellor's report, or some other documentation from a third party. There's a heap of forms you need to fill out, and there should be someone at your school that can help with this (my school had a school counsellor who assisted with all applications).

You typically find out after ATARs are released as to whether you have been successful with your application or not.
