Anyone know of an effective text related to inner journeys... preferable a short story, novel or visual representation

Use Hamlet...I know its shakespeare but trust me your teacher will have orgasms over it...(Ok colllective ewwwwww here)

basic outline: Hamlet a prince....dad (king dies) uncle(who killed dad) marries mum(ick incest)..hamlet goes insane (wouldn't you?) his g/f kills herself and he goes completely unhinged...

Great inner journey from sanity to madness...

Noone said a journey had to be a nice one...think about it

im doing 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho. Its a really short fable and is really easy to talk about it relation to inner journeys..give it a go..
