I'm thinking of applying to work here, is there anyone who works there who can tell me,
1)If u applied online, how long did it take between time of application and getting the job?
2)How do you find working there? Are people (you work with) nice?
3)How much do you get paid per hour? (and how old are you)

Answers to these questions would be much appreciated, I was too lazy to search for other threads similar to this one :p

woolworths is so easy going and bludgy
and no one cares
atleast at my woolies they dont
and at the coles near me they so uptights and stuff..no one is ever having fun
sometimes i like to go to work coz its so fun when we do nothing
so the "fun" we have at woolies..compensates for the extra pay

Wow thanks dude, u really contributed there :p

Another question, is the stuff easy to learn? Do u get the hang of being a checkout chick quickly? (can't imagine it'd be too hard since heaps of 15 yr olds work on them)

The "fun" you have at woolworths is wasting the store's money...

I can have "fun" at my store because I get along with everybody.
I can have "fun" at my store because people do what I tell them and most know that they are there to do it.

It's employees like you who I hate and hand orders out to most. You are not there to do as little as possible and let the money roll in at the end of the week.
This is not teaching you about the work force.
Work for your money, you'll feel better knowing that you actually earned it.
Next time you find yourself having "fun" because you're standing around doing nothing, remember, you're not only wasting your time but your supervisor's/manager's time when you could be doing something they need done.

um im one of the most honest and hardworking employees at my woolies
yes it is fun when you have absolutely nothing to do and can talk to people
after i do everything the supervisors tell me to do..
if its quite on a shift i work..say 7-midnyt when no one is there
its fun
im not wasting anyones money
ive been at wooleis 3 years and never been in trouble 4 anything
never bludged my arse off
the worst ive done is collect baskets..and do stock

and my supervisors are a bunch of idiots
they dont do jackshit
infact all they do is steal from woolies

i know what you are talkign about
and i get extremely annoyed 2
you should see the people that work at woolies that take 'fun" to another level
they take 45 minute breaks on their 15 minutes
they stand around out the back talking to ppl
they collect items off the isles and pretend its stock so they can walk around puting it all back
they flirt around and carry on swearing and pushing eachother
they stick reuce dto clear and chekseals on supervisors backs

they close off and wlak around ...colelct baskets even if its just one
they piss me off and are wasting time and money
and my supervisors dont care and are so easy going..they laugh

1. i applied via a form as well.. got the job after 2 days
2. i can tolerate all employees but most of them i wouldnt be friends with out of work. working there is easy and repetitive and gets boring easily (its usually better for it to be busy so time goes by faster).. if it wasnt for the location and few close friends id be looking elsewhere for a job (in other departments in other stores).
3. im 17 and i get 10.99 an hour
