I disagree with the changes prosposed by the Howard government. Are their policies ideological or economical? I don't see the benefits to workers with the proposed changed and also don't believe it is going to encourage more people to take up apprenticeships which seems to be one of the goals that the changes are suppose account for. How exactly will it make the labour market more 'competitive'? Competitive in what sense? With that of China? Or some other developing country?
