Are the Preliminary end of year exams hard? (1 Viewer)

Ok we know the SC was a piece of cake?

But for all the people who previosly completed the end of year 11 exams. Are they difficult or is just a breeze?

If you keep on top of everything and don't fall behind you will find it easy. If not you won't. Simple.

If you know your stuff and had paid attension in class then they aren't to bad but you shall learn what senior school exams are like come half yearlies.

They are not necessarily easy, but they are not especially hard either.

That is, if you studied for them.

Basically if you want goods marks you have to study for them, otherwise you are screwed.

Start writing your notes and studying early too, otherwise you won't have much time by the end of the year.

Our yearly exams are two weeks, and the entire AOS was assessed, was not too bad...

What do you mean by your own area of study?

In that exam (if I remember right, im fair sure its the same as the hsc) they give you comprehension questions on random texts and you have to answer questions of a nature which is related to your area of study, then you have to do a creative writing task related to area of study and then a written task of sorts (an essay, feature article, etc)

That would depend on the school but on a whole it's seems to be two weeks. What's in the English explain will again depend on your school. I think for my preliminary yearly it was in similar format to the HSC but then again for the half yearly all we had to do was write an essay so it depends.
