For i) The answer is 1/2(6)^2 x (2pi/3)
=12 pi cm^2

but i dont get how. Please help, thanks.

The formula for the area of a sector is: $A=\frac{1}{2}r^2\theta$ .

So just substitute the numbers:
$\begin{align*}A&=\frac{1}{2}\times 6^2 \times \frac{2\pi}{3}\\&=12\pi\;\mathrm{cm}^2\end{align*}$

We get the angle of AOC from taking pi radians and subtracting angle COB to get 2pi/3.
