Love his series of Space Oddysey books, Seen the movie 2001, 2010 they where great

I read 2001 and now reading 2061, i think im the only person in my class whos into science fiction though :p who else loves this guys book

he made some surprisingly acurate predictions (about the types of technology used, not the dates etc)... read 3001, very ... uh ... imaginative and abstract

he probably went senile when he wrote 3001

between 2001 and 2061 is the best, some people dont like 2061 but i am half way through and love it, it relates way more too journey imo

He was accused of paedophilia by the Sunday Mirror, who are hardly the most reliable of newspapers. The allegations were never proven, I don't think he was ever charged, and BBC News said he was cleared:

Sir Arthur has always maintained his innocence.
Anyway, Arthur C. Clarke is my favourite sci-fi author. 3001 is a bit weird, but then so is 2001 and it's a really great work. My favourite is the Fountains of Paradise because I have always been interested in the concept of space elevators.
