Either less people want it, or more places are available.

Is it because of the 25% increase in fees do you think? Because I heard on the news that regional unis were worried about that because less students would want to enrol there.

Might be a possible reason but quite negligeble since HECS attempts to remediy any significant inequality which exists.

Hey I Think You Made A Mistake

um i think whoever posted this message made a mistake...sorry to disapoint as i was stoked myself when i read ur post.... except i went into the link and your 90 is for combined arts degrees and not combined law degrees. if you scroll down the page you unfortunatley find this Bachelor of Laws (Combined Degrees) There is no assumed knowledge for law. Refer to the degree to be combined for recommended studies. 92.15 ....sorry guys i wish it was 90 coz i get bonus points for living in the area and then i mite have qualified for it...doubt it now though...o well of to armidale i go.... n e 1 going to armidale...i havent applied for accomadation...im screwed ill have to rent private...

damn.
I got a bit carried away lol. oh well.
oh btw, (another disappointment) the bonus points only apply for single degrees, not combined :(

if I don't get 92.15 I'll just do arts. I'm not even sure if I want to do law anyway. But i want to combine arts with something in the 2nd year.

"We have a Regional and Rural Preference Scheme which will award a bonus four UAI points, in 2005, to current NSW HSC students who attend schools within a defined postcode boundary. The scheme includes schools and TAFE colleges with postcodes in the Hunter, Central Coast, Central West, Northern Rivers, mid-North Coast, New England, Western Plains and Broken Hill mail centres. The scheme applies to all programs except the B Medicine or any combined degree"

That’s exactly right.
Also Newcastle is allowing full fee paying students this year, meaning the number of hecs places will be reduced.

is that the educational access scheme? (EAS) if it is, don't bank on getting them.. i only got 2 of them when other people with the same disadvantage as me (but a different uni) got all 5.. it depends on what value they place on it
