estimates for two people please. both school rank of ~400 and weak cohort

1) assuming that they will get from highest rank to lowest rank in order of : maths X2 > maths X1 > chem > phys > english advanced
what is the bare minimum ranks for a 90+?
english advanced: /71
maths X2: /11
maths X1: /31
chemistry: /37
physics: /49

2) same subjects
english advanced: 23/71
maths X2: 3/11
maths X1: 2/31
chemistry: 12/37
physics: 14/49

i believe person 1 can get mx1, mx2, chem to be top 3. how about the other subjects?

what does he normally get in exams? like % wise. Calculating ranks needed for 90 atar is unreliable since the school is low ranked. Try to judge whether or not the guy will get b4, b5 or b6. Normally to get 90+ atar with those subjects, you don't need a single b6, u need mid b5's to high b5's for everything but u cannot get a single b4.

he gets about 80% in chem but 95+ for maths. also, a quick question, does mark alighning and scaling and all that stuff determine how 'bands' affect atar? like, a band 6 in a school rank 600 being differrent to a band 6 in james ruse? or is all that aligning stuff the thing taht determines the band they get?

Since the school is like 400 and you mentioned it was a weak cohort, ranking a double digit no. in english is potentially weighing him/her down. Actually, if your school's rank is a triple digit, you want your ranks to be single digit for 85+ atar
