I am very confident for maths (I marked myself right after the exam. For English, I am expecting a band 4 unfortunately. Biology, Physics and Maths were probably my best. I am expecting band 6s and 5s for those.

How could I have improved? Probably not relying on my lazy English teacher (they only started looking at my work before trials and before HSC despite working so hard throughout the year) and instead moving classes. I should have chosen English Advanced and Mathematics Advanced rather than Standard.

I should have started taking notes of my mistakes earlier and splitting my study sessions of 1.5 hours in morning and 2.5 hours in afternoon for school days. Perhaps doing 3 hours in morning and 3 hours in afternoon in weekends rather than 12 hours a day in weekends. I really destroyed my social skills.

Predicted is 99.55 (perhaps a bit too generous as I didn’t get a call for first in course)

Got “early entry” for med (only available to international students). If I get below 95 I might as well ditch my uni plans and work for my parents.

In terms of regrets, I should have switched schools before y11 as the whole hsc experience was dreadful for me. I won’t go into details but it’s just not worth the money and the school’s overrated.

@hi_998 Yes. I had such sessions like that. Avoid it, it is not healthy. And make sure to not completely remove your hobbies.
Wha5 time would u get home from school and how long would u study for during a school night? Asking for when its not like exam time, just throughout the term.
I saw someone say everyday they plan their after-school routine in 30-minute blocks and thought that was a bit too much

I think it just means you've completed the necessary subjects to get into a course and the uni is just waiting for your ATAR to make an offer. For example Engineering typically requires 3U maths and physics. To get this, you would have 3U maths and physics on your School record of Yr 12 subjects, the uni is just waiting to see if you have the minimum ATAR.

My ridiculous psychological thriller nightmare last night told me I scored a 67 in biology while getting around 95 in my other 8 units. Woke up before I clicked “log in” to UAC ATAR portal.

I was required to do my interview midway through the trials and it wasn’t too fun…

Areas you could've done better, pre and post feelings
bro could've done better EVERYWHERE. my time management was so fried in the actual hsc. like wdym ive grinded throughout the whole year and in my trials just to flop my hsc 😭🙏💔 deadass tho I should've practiced WAYY more, much more past papers UNDER exam conditions + given myself less time, not procrastinated at all...and should've done much more active recall. lol lowkey wish I could redo my hsc idk I burnt out so bad trials-hsc period

@hi_998 In term 4 of Year 12, I would study about 3 hours after school. In term 1, I started doing 4 hour sessions. In term 2, Istarted doing 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. In term 3 I would do 1.25 hours in morning and 2.5 to 3 hours in afternoon. I think my term 3 method is probably the most effective.
