Nope. It works out that the average ATAR is ~70 due to a number of factors (including the fact that they take into account all students in the cohort since year 7,meaning that not everyone included in scaling calculatons actually receives an ATAR)

Not true. jetblack and I got 99.85. Doesn't mean we came 3rd in the state. It's more like we came 100th (given that there are 48 or so 99.95s, and about 50 99.90s)
